🛋️ The Couch Rule: "No Dogs on the Furniture" (Said Every Dog Owner, Once)

Let's talk about The Rule. You know the one. "No dogs on the couch."

You said it with confidence. You said it on day one. You may have even said it out loud to the dog, who nodded politely and kept all four paws on the floor for... eleven minutes. 🐾

Here's how The Rule is going now:

🛋️ They "just wanted to see what you were looking at."

🛋️ One paw. Then two. Then the whole dog, somehow, in the middle seat.

🛋️ You're perched on the edge of the cushion, holding your drink, apologizing to a creature who is fast asleep.

🛋️ You've started buying blankets "for the couch." (They're for the dog.)

🛋️ When guests arrive, you hear yourself say, "Oh, don't mind him. That's his spot."

It always starts with a good excuse. A thunderstorm. A rainy day. A puppy who cried at the bottom of the stairs when you were tired and it was just this once. But "just this once" has a funny way of turning into "just about every night."

And the wildest part? You don't even mind.

Somewhere between the first sneaky paw and the last warm sigh, that spot stopped being yours. It became theirs. There's a dent in the cushion now that is exactly the shape of your dog, and you would never, ever flatten it.

Here's what we believe: a home isn't the place where all the rules get followed. It's the place where somebody is waiting to curl up next to you at the end of a long day, no questions asked. Your dog figured that out long before you did. And honestly, the couch has never felt more like home.
